Mechs & Combat

Mech Combat Guidelines
Mech Attributes
Each mech has four core attributes that define its combat effectiveness:
HP — Determines how much damage the mech can sustain
DEF — Effectiveness of the DEF action
ATT — Effectiveness of the ATT action
RNG — Effectiveness of the RNG action
Progression Rules
DEF, ATT, and RNG are upgraded using Credits
HP increases automatically as the mech levels up
Each attribute upgrade increases mech level
Upgrade costs scale progressively with level
Ways to Increase Attributes
Attributes can be increased through multiple sources:
Credits — Permanent upgrades
Equipment — Temporary bonuses while equipped
Modules — Temporary bonuses until durability expires
Combat System
Combat follows a Rock–Paper–Scissors mechanic.
Each round, players must select one action within a limited time window:
ATT — Melee attack
RNG — Ranged attack
DEF — Active shield
Failing to select an action results in taking damage.
Action Relationships
ATT defeats RNG, loses to DEF
RNG defeats DEF, loses to ATT
DEF defeats ATT, loses to RNG
Correct action selection is the primary determinant of damage dealt.
Draw Mechanics
If both players select the same action:
No damage is dealt
A damage modifier increases
Rules for the modifier:
The modifier applies to the next winning round
Consecutive draws stack the modifier (up to a cap)
The modifier resets once the draw streak ends
This system discourages stalemates and rewards decisive play.
Rounds & Victory Conditions
A round ends when a mech reaches 0 HP
Winning a battle requires two round victories
